How CloudJiffy fits with Leapswitch

Leapswitch runs infrastructure at three levels, so you only manage what you want to.

Dedicated servers:you own the hardware and run everything on it.
CloudPe:you rent virtual machines and manage the stack on top.
CloudJiffy:you skip the servers and deploy the application.

Same data centres. Same engineers. Pick how much of the stack you want to run.

What you get on CloudJiffy

Deploy in a few clicks

Run Java, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, Go, Python and Docker applications with no code changes. Deploy from Git, SVN or an archive, or use plugins for Maven, Ant, Eclipse, NetBeans and IntelliJ IDEA.

Scales both ways

Containers scale vertically and horizontally in small steps (one step is 128 MB of RAM and 100 MHz of CPU). No capacity planning.

Environments

Containers are grouped into one environment per application. Links between them, like a load balancer to its web servers, are configured for you.

DevOps tools built in

Topology wizard, deployment manager, access to logs and config files, team collaboration, and CI/CD integrations.

One-click applications

Install WordPress, Joomla, Drupal or Magento from the marketplace, as a single app or a load-balanced high-availability cluster.

Secure containers

No kernel, patches or updates to manage. Container ports are closed by default, with a web firewall and optional two-factor authentication.

Assisted migration

Our migration team can move any number of websites or applications to CloudJiffy for a minimum charge, and is available 24×7 during the move.

Other Inclusions

Nightly backups with 7 copies kept, and free SSL certificates, including Let's Encrypt for custom domains.

Ready-made stacks

Pre-configured clusters you can launch without building the stack yourself:

How it works

01. Pick a runtime

Choose Java, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, Go, Python or Docker, and add the software stack you need in the topology wizard.

02. Deploy your code

Push from Git or SVN, upload an archive, or deploy from your IDE or CI/CD tool.

03. Let it scale

Set a scaling limit. CloudJiffy adds and removes resources with your traffic. You're billed hourly for what you use.

How pricing works

You pay for what your application consumes, not for the size of a server.

  • 1 cloudlet = 128 MB RAM + 100 MHz CPU. 8 cloudlets equal 1 GB of RAM and one 3.2 GHz core.
  • Reserved cloudlets are set in advance at a lower price. Dynamic cloudlets scale with load, and you pay only while they’re in use.
  • Billed hourly. Volume discounts apply as usage grows.
  • Free: the first 20 GB of disk per environment, the first GB of traffic each hour, internal traffic, SSL, and nightly backups.

Frequently asked questions

CloudJiffy is a platform as a service from Leapswitch Networks. You deploy your application, and the platform runs and scales the servers underneath it.
Java, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, Go, Python and Docker. You can also install WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Magento in one click.
An environment is a group of containers (servers) that serve the same application or website. CloudJiffy automatically configures the links between them. For example, a load balancer is set up to send traffic to the web servers in the same environment.
You're billed hourly for the resources your application uses, measured in cloudlets (128 MB RAM and 100 MHz CPU each). Reserved cloudlets cost less. Dynamic cloudlets scale with load and are billed only while in use.

CloudJiffy runs in India, the USA, and Germany.

Secure containers mean you don't manage the kernel, patches or updates. Container ports are closed by default, a web firewall is included, and you can add two-factor authentication.
Choose CloudJiffy if you want to deploy an application and not manage servers. Choose CloudPe if you want virtual machines you control, or if your data must stay in India. Not sure? Talk to an engineer.
